Trent Thomas John Bird was arrested on June 3 in Prince Albert by Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team, Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team and the Prince Albert Police Service.
He is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on June 4, 2026.
Background
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) are asking the public to report sightings and information on the whereabouts of 19-year-old Trent Thomas John Bird.
Trent Thomas John Bird is wanted on warrant for one count, manslaughter with a firearm, Section 236(a), Criminal (Information #90588955). This charge was laid on June 2, 2026, following the homicide of 24-year-old Steven Beatty on Montreal Lake Cree Nation, SK.
Trent Thomas John Bird is described as:
- Height: approximately 5’ 8”
- Weight: approximately 110 lbs
- Eye colour: brown
- Hair colour: black
- Other descriptors: Tattoo on right calf with “420” a rocket ship and a star
