Single vehicle crash claims life of Cornwall man

On September 8, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Queens District RCMP responded to a 911 call reporting a single‑vehicle crash on Route 13 in the Kelly’s Cross area.

The lone occupant and driver of the vehicle, a 70‑year‑old Cornwall man, was pronounced deceased at the scene after his vehicle left the road and came to a stop landing in a marsh.

Crapaud Fire Department, Island EMS and Provincial Department of Transportation also responded to the incident. Route 13 was closed for approximately two hours. The investigation remains ongoing.
