Inverness County District RCMP responded to a fatal fire that occurred in Pleasant Hill.
On August 28 at approximately 8:45 a.m., Inverness County District RCMP and other first responders attended a fire at a residence on Kings Rd.
Officers learned that bystanders had entered the home and pulled a person from the structure out after the fire started. The man was later pronounced deceased.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service, the Nova Scotia Office of the Fire Marshal, and RCMP Forensic Identification Services attended. Criminality is not believed to be a factor based on information and evidence collected as part of the investigation.
