Clarenville RCMP seeks public assistance identifying suspect in retail theft

Clarenville RCMP is investigating a theft at a local business and asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect caught by surveillance cameras.

Just after 9:00 p.m. on July 22, a man was observed on video surveillance entering a retail store on Shoal Harbour Drive, selecting various products and departing the store without paying for the items he selected. The stolen items are valued at over $400.00

The man is described as in his late 20s to early 30’s, approximately 5’ 3” to 5’ 9” tall, with an average build and short dark hair. When captured on surveillance cameras, he was wearing a camouflage Champion brand hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a black and red baseball hat and white sneakers. He has a tattoo on his left forearm.

The man departed the store in a black Toyota sport-utility vehicle (SUV).
