Nain RCMP investigating act of mischief at local airport, public’s help needed

Nain RCMP is investigating an incident of mischief discovered at the Nain Airport earlier today, and anyone with information about the suspect or suspects is being asked to contact police.

At approximately 8:45 a.m. on Friday September 25, Nain RCMP responded to a report of tampering and mischief caused to a pair of helicopters at the local airport on Middlepath Road. 

The two rotary-wing aircrafts landed earlier this morning, just before 6:30 a.m. and pilots discovered the signs of tampering and minor damages to both aircrafts at around 8:30 a.m. and contacted police. The helicopter aircrafts will undergo inspections by professionals before they can depart.

The police investigation is continuing.
