Burin RCMP investigating theft from local gas station, seeking public’s assistance

Burin Peninsula RCMP is looking for the public’s assistance to identify a woman in relation to a July 2026 theft at a local gas station. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

On Monday, July 13, officers responded to a reported theft at a gas station on Ville Marie Drive. Surveillance cameras captured a woman selecting alcoholic beverages from a cooler, and leaving the store without paying.

The woman is white, with long brown hair. When captured on surveillance cameras, she was wearing a two-tone brown and beige hoodie, black capris pants and white runners, had her hair in a ponytail and was carrying a red backpack.

The theft investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the identity of this woman is asked to contact Burin Peninsula RCMP as soon as possible at 709-279-3001.
