Bonavista RCMP is investigating a break and enter to a power substation in Catalina, and subsequent theft of Aluminum Alloy Stranded Conductor (AASC) cable from the site. Police are sharing images of two people believed to be involved in the crime, and ask the public to assist in identifying the individuals.

Just before 9:00 a.m., on June 3, RCMP officers responded to a report of a break, enter and theft from a Newfoundland Power substation located near Route 237 in the Catalina area. As many as two suspects gained entry to the power facility overnight and stole a quantity of AASC cable from a storage container on site.

The investigation is continuing with the full cooperation of Newfoundland Power.
