A 40-year-old man, from Beechwood N.B., has died following a single-vehicle crash in Florenceville-Bristol, N.B.

On September 4, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m., members of the Western Valley Region RCMP, the District of Carleton North Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 105.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was transported to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The only passenger, a 46-year-old woman from Johnville N.B., was transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

A New Brunswick RCMP Collision Reconstructionist, the New Brunswick RCMP’s Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (drone), and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office attended the scene and are assisting with the investigation. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man's exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
