RCMP seeking public’s help following hit and run collision

The Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP is asking for the public’s help following a hit and run collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist in Grand Bay-Westfield.

On May 21, 2026, at approximately 2 p.m., members of the Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP detachment responded to a report of a hit and run collision between a vehicle and a cyclist on Nerepis Road near the intersection of Sunnyside Drive. A cyclist was travelling northbound when a vehicle struck her from behind and then fled the scene before police arrived. The cyclist was transported to hospital with serious injuries and has since been released. 

Police have followed up on several leads to try to identify the vehicle involved and are asking for the public’s help to further the investigation. 

If you witnessed the hit and run collision on the afternoon of May 21, stopped at the scene, or were driving in the area at the time of the incident or have dash cam footage of the incident, please contact the Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP at 506-757-1020. The investigation is ongoing.
