Officer gets into a collision while responding to another collision

On September 10, at 4:18 p.m., St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a complaint of a serious collision on Highway 52, at the intersection of PR 206, in the RM of Hanover.
A southbound vehicle was stopped at the intersection and proceeded to turn east onto Highway 52 when it collided with a westbound vehicle. The driver of the westbound vehicle, a female from Blumenort, was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The male driver of the southbound vehicle was transported to hospital before police arrived on scene. His identity and condition have not been confirmed.
While responding to the scene, an RCMP vehicle was involved in a second collision. It occurred on Highway 59, about two kilometres north of PR 23. The police vehicle was travelling south and attempted to conduct a U-turn with his emergency lights on when it collided with a southbound pick-up truck. The male driver and the female passenger of the truck, both 49-year-olds from Ste. Agathe, were uninjured. The officer was also not injured.
The two collisions are still under investigation.
