Oxford House RCMP seize drugs after arrest at airport

On July 13, 2026, Oxford House RCMP were made aware by Bunibonibee Cree Nation First Nation Safety Officers, that individuals aboard an incoming aircraft may be in possession of illicit drugs.
Police boarded the aircraft on the runway before deplaning and removed two female passengers.
Further investigation revealed a 23-year-old female from Bunibonibee Cree Nation, was concealing cocaine and crack cocaine. The total community value of the drugs seized is approximately $75,000.
She was charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking x2 and remanded until her court date. No other person was charged in connection with this investigation.
Oxford House RCMP continue to investigate.
