On Thursday, May 28, 2026, Special Olympics athletes and local police officers joined together to participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR).
“The LETR is a fun event that we have been participating in for over 15 years, and we have no plans of stopping any time soon,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for Prince George RCMP. “It brings together police officers, support staff, athletes and their families and really highlights our community spirit.”
This year the Law Enforcement Torch Run raised over $1100 that will go towards our local Special Olympics athletes, helping with travel and training costs.
We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, Prince George RCMP, AimHi, and DJ Ant from Pure Sound & Entertainment, for their support and energy. A huge shoutout as well to our outstanding volunteers, Safety Bear, Shirley Bond, and Sylvia Masich; your enthusiasm, dedication, and smiles truly helped bring this event to life. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we appreciate you all so much!
We can’t wait to see you next year!
