Police, fire and ambulance were on scene near the 900-block of Holt Street.

Kamloops RCMP frontline police were notified by the BC Ambulance Service on October 8, 2026, at approximately 7:45 a.m. of a male that appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle parked in a school parking lot.

“The vehicle had previously been reported as stolen,” said Corporal Dana Napier, spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP Detachment.  “Multiple police officers attended the area and quickly located and arrested the man and a woman allegedly associated to the vehicle.”

As a precaution and given the time and proximity to the school, police coordinated with School District 73 administration to alert them of the incident and to make appropriate plans regarding the removal of the vehicle from the school parking lot.

Charges will be assessed pending the outcome of the investigation.
